The People’s Committee of Hanoi has submitted to the Hanoi People’s Council for consideration and approval of investment policies and adjustments for several public investment projects in the city, including three bridges: Trần Hưng Đạo, Ngọc Hồi, and Tứ Liên.

Specifically, Trần Hưng Đạo Bridge has a total length of approximately 5.6 km, starting at the Trần Hưng Đạo – Trần Thánh Tông area (Hoàn Kiếm District) and ending at Vũ Đức Thuận Street (Long Biên District).

The Trần Hưng Đạo Bridge spans the Red River with a 6-span arch structure, 43 m wide, accommodating 6 lanes for motor vehicles. The approach roads at both ends of the bridge are approximately 30 m wide, with a total length of about 2.25 km.

The Hanoi People’s Committee estimates the total investment for the construction of Trần Hưng Đạo Bridge at around VND 15,967 billion. The project is scheduled to be implemented from 2025 to 2027.

According to the submission by the Hanoi People’s Committee, Tứ Liên Bridge and the approach roads from Nghi Tàm intersection to Trường Sa intersection have a total length of approximately 5.15 km. The project spans Tây Hồ District, Long Biên District, and Đông Anh District.

The project includes multiple components, including Tứ Liên Bridge spanning the Red River with a length of 1 km and width of 43 m; Đuống River overpass of 0.3 km long and 44 m wide; left Đuống dike overpass of 0.08 km long and 34 m wide. The approach road on the Tây Hồ side is 1.4 km long and 27.5–44 m wide, and the approach road on the Đông Anh side is about 0.4 km long and 35 m wide.

The total investment for the construction of Tứ Liên Bridge and its approach roads is estimated at VND 20,171 billion. The project is scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2027.

The Hanoi People’s Committee also proposed that the People’s Council agree to submit to the Prime Minister for approval to authorize the Hanoi People’s Committee as the project management agency for the construction of Ngọc Hồi Bridge and its approach roads.

The total length of Ngọc Hồi Bridge (located on Hanoi’s Ring Road 3.5) and its approach roads is approximately 7.5 km, including the main bridge and approach roads of 7.2 km wide 33 m; the approach road on the Hưng Yên side is about 300 m long and 60 m wide.

Hanoi estimates the total investment for the project at approximately VND 11,844 billion, sourced from both the city and central budgets. The project is scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2030.

The special session of the Hanoi People’s Council, scheduled for February 25, will consider passing the resolutions for the construction projects of Tứ Liên, Ngọc Hồi, and Trần Hưng Đạo bridges.
